A day at the beach Feb 21, 2012

We planned our vacation so that we would be able to take a break and rest on one of our days before going back to Disneyland.... The only problem with that is Kevin. He wanted to go to the Santa Monica pier so badly. So, of course we went!

 This guy painted this picture special for Kaitlyn. she wanted dolphins, flowers and a pink sunset :)

 We bought the girls toy sharks which meant they had to attack Poppy with them

 As soon as their feet hit the sand, they were off and running.

 Still in love after 34 years :) Can you imagine, they only knew each other 10 days before they were married. My dad was being sent to Germany, and he didn't want to chance losing my mom!

 After the beach, we met up with our childhood friend, Lynda, and her family for dinner. When we went outside, the kids saw Herby and had to have a pic :)

It was a great day at the beach, but the high light was definitely seeing Lynda again. I just love that girl!!

Disneyland Day 1 Feb 20, 2012

The kids were excited to finally be at Disneyland.... First thing we did was buy them autograph books :)

Then we hit our first ride... Pirate of the Carribean. Not the best choice. 

We decided to try something a little better this time. Winnie the Pooh.

 Then the train. The kids loved the train.

 There were cool scenes as you traveled around the park.

 One of our favorites.... It's a small world!

 How perfect..... the first character we met was Mickey mouse!!

 Alyssa's first hug.... many more to come... something about that girl makes people want to hug her :)

 My little monkey! Brittany can climb anything.... Notice she is still holding her bag. Nothing holds her back!

 We took a boat through story book land, and they let the girls sit on the front of the boat... made me a little nervous but they loved it.

 We got to see the parade. The kids all loved it!!

 Katlyn loved that Mary Poppins stopped to tell her happy birthday. She had a birthday pin on, and every employee that say her told her happy birthday.

 We ended off the day with a fireworks show :)
