Memorial Day 2012

I did not post any pictures of the funeral yet, but the reason the ground in the pictures looks torn up is because sweet little Christopher is being buried with his Grandma and Grandpa Powell.
We went to Grandpa Powell's grave on Memorial day to leave flowers since his headstone was moved on Friday when we were there.

We went back to Grandma and Grandpa GG's for dinner, games and a mini birthday party for Alyssa.

We all had a pretty good time other than the fight.... I do not plan to talk any more about that one though....

Stacey's 2nd Bday

This week May 20-26 was so busy. Sweet Christopher passed on Sunday. Kids had testing in school. Funeral Thursday, burial Friday and Stacey (Christopher's only full blood sister)'s birthday party on Saturday. I have not posted any pics of the funeral yet, but here are the pictures from the birthday. I was glad lots of people showed up. It was sad though because Stacey was sick. She ended up in the hospital on Monday, her actual birthday.
Debbie, Stacey and Erik. Her bio mom and dad.
Ann Marie, Taylynn (Stacey's sister), and Robert.

Look at Ian's eye. He got a shiner on his left eye at the birthday party. They were using  a plastic bat for the pinata, but it can still do some damage when you walk into the swing of a teenager. Grownups were yelling for Ian to step back, but he ignored then and got hurt :(

Kaitlyn and Emily's Medal Ceremony

The kids had an end of year Medal Ceremony on Thursday May 24, 2012
Kaitlyn does not like pictures at all
Emily on the other hand loves them.

Each Teacher got to choose 2 or 3 students that were the best overall performers in their class..... citizenship, academics and behavior. Kaitlyn was chosen first by her teacher. She got a shirt as her reward. Needless to say I was one proud momma. I found out the following week that Brittany was also chosen first by her teacher. Both of my kids were great in school. YAY!!!

It didn't take Kait long to get that shirt on.... She gave grandma a big hug!

Mrs. Moon and Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn read 100 books during the last quarter of school. She got to take a picture with the principal and have a party on the last day of school. I was so proud of her.
