Picture day

Kait was the first up to get ready since she had to be to school at 8:45.
I made her a hair bow to go with her "picture day shirt".
I love her toothless grin :) She loves singing All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth.
 I love her serious look.
She would not keep her smile so I kept catching all these various looks :)
Brittany doesn't go to school until afternoon, so I made her special hair bow when we got home from dropping Kait off.
She always tilts her head to the side when I get the camera out.
 I love her smile though!
She has the best smile ever. Yes I know her bangs don't look the best. We only got told about picture day on Tuesday, so I didn't have enough time to train them (I cut them on Sunday).
She has a "cowlick" on her right side.

 I LOVE my beautiful girls!!

A tutu I made :)

I am trying to come up with things to sale to raise money for adoption....
I made this as a present for my niece, but it was super easy (time consuming though).
Please excuse the model, but my "live models" were all sleeping :)
This is what it looks like from the top... It is elastic too :)
I love it.... so tell me.... would you buy one of these?

Sick Girl

I have just been to the doctors/hospital with Brittany. She was diagnosed with strep last week. It seemed like it was getting better until all of a sudden she took a turn for the worse. She said her hurt to bend her knees or walk. She said she was so tired and even proved it by sleeping over 15 hours in one day. I called the doctor today, and they suggested that I take her straight to the local Children's hospital... I decided to go into the doctor's office first... We may still be going in the next hour, but for now we wait....

They think she may have rheumatic fever, and if her blood tests come back questionable, we have to take her in to have some tests ran on her heart. Apparently rheumatic fever can cause permanent damage to your heart :(

While at the doctor they also said she has contracted another virus on top of Strep plus she has a massive double ear infection.... She has to go see the ENT next week. Sounds like she might be the owner of a new set of tubes soon. She has one set in already, but they are definitely not working.

My sweet girl asked me if she stopped "being" sick could I just take her home and not make her see the doctor. My sweet girl was already so sad from losing a friend out of her class (he is moving)....
She was pretty happy about putting that hospital bracelet on.... but not quite as happy after the blood draw. She was very brave though. They even let her bring a few goodies home with her after....

A friend made and lost :(

Is this not the saddest little girl you have ever seen :'(
This is my sweet Brittany. She is super shy and rarely makes any friends. When we lived further south, she became best friends with a little girl in her preschool. They LOVE each other. Only problem is that we live about an hour away from her now. Britt cried when we moved because she would miss her sweet friend.

We put Britt into preschool up here too, but during the 5 months she attended she didn't really make any friends :( She just started kindergarten and didn't have any friends in that class either. A few days ago, She made friends with a little boy that sits at her table. Well as our luck would have it, this little boy is moving far away and today was his last day. Britt cried as we walked out of her class and the whole way home. She finally made a friend and now he is moving away. So sad.

So thankful Britt's BFF is coming over for dinner next week :D

School Carnival

The kids had a carnival at their school yesterday. They had a ton of fun playing all the games and riding all the rides!! We even ate dinner there. We had fun. (As usual we wish daddy could have been there, but he got a flat tire on the way home which delayed him getting there)

Each of the girls took a turn playing the games.

Look mom I won a prize... they all got at least one fan and several other small toys, but Alyssa was so excited. It was so cute!
This ride was super cool. The parachute fills up with air and it takes up up about 6-8 feet then they release the air and it drops you. Kaitlyn loved it!
Britt loved it too.. Alyssa wouldn't go!
 They loved the slide too.

Alyssa finally got on something... she went in the jump house
and held the side for quite a while before she would venture off.

Both of the big girls took a go at the rock wall. The pegs were too far apart so they didn't make it far.
Emily and Ian came so we spent some time hanging out with them.
Look mom, I can pick up Emmy. Put her down...
Emily had to take a turn...

I took Alyssa to play a few more games... She loved the prizes :)

Ians turn... he was holding on tight, but had a great time :)

Face painting time. I loved Kait's butterfly.
Britt wanted to be a yellow son, but she looked kinda like a monster to me.... shh don't tell her!
Alyssa got a little stamp of a butterfly.
 Fishing time...

The best part for Alyssa was the slush.... She gets that from her Grandma...
Notice the little blue faced monster ;)

Another fun time with the kids :)
