Brittany had to go and see the ENT. Some of you may already know that Brittany had tubes put in on October 5, 2007. They didn't help for long before we began having more ear infections.
She has been having some pretty bad ones lately (not as bad as the 5 month- or longer one that she had just before her first tubes). Her doctor decided that she needed to be reevaluated.
The ENT feels that she needs to have the old tubes removed (which will have to be done surgically either way), put new tubes in (better longer lasting ones), remove her adenoids, and possibly remover her tonsils.
She is sleeping with this oximeter tonight to help the doctor decide if he wants to take her tonsils out.
She is so cute when she sleeps!!
When I put it on her, her O2 stats were about 90.
She was already fast asleep before I put it on.
My son had tonsils and adenoids out last summer. I'm not sure it helped much. He still snores and sometimes has trouble breathing.
