How did I get so lucky?!?

So I posted earlier about how Kaitlyn said she wouldn't trade Alyssa for anything. Then later on she said how much she loved Brittany. This is as close to a modern day miracle as they come. They already have a true sibling rivalry. Well they aren't too bad, but they do not openly express their love for one another.

The true amazing thing came tonight, but first a little background. My kids have been saving every penny they find for over a year now. This is their Disneyland fund. We decided as a family that once we have enough money in change to go to Disneyland, we would take a week long family vacation to California and visit Disneyland. Any extra money they get has been going toward our fund. Mommy and Daddy even agreed to put all of our "spare" money towards it also.

So, this night we were all putting laundry away together (I know it's Sunday, but my kids needed their clothes). Kaitlyn found a 5 dollar bill on my bed and started singing "I have 5 dollars, I have 5 dollars." I explained to her that I needed that money to put in our adoption fund. She then asked me what happened about the Disneyland fund. I told her it was still there, and that we now had 2 funds. Following a short discussion about how long it would take to adopt "some" brothers and sisters, she said mom I would rather adopt a brother than go to Disneyland. We can go to Disneyland with our new brothers another year. All this coming from a 6 year old Angel. I do not know what has come over her, but I love it. She is a great child, but she is generally concerned for herself first and everyone else 2nd. She prayers often for her brothers that are waiting and urges me to move forward with the "process" almost daily. The Lord is paving the way, and miracle are occurring in my house each and every day... Already!

I'm not sure how I got blessed with 3 amazing Angels, but I know there are more out there waiting. I guess my children know also which makes this process so much easier on all of us :) Thank You Heavenly Father for all of our blessings!

  1. What a perfect story. I'm sure her future siblings will read it some day and also be touched. Kaitlyn reminds me of Lettie in a lot of ways.
