Toothpaste Wars

Sorry everyone, I know I have already flooded the Blog World with all of my blogs from the last 2 weeks, but I am hoping some of you will read this and tell me I am not alone in this.

I'm beginning to think my kids are obsessed with toothpaste. Even prior to tonight's events there have been MANY toothpaste ordeals. Mostly my kids think it is an artist tool rather than a hygiene tool. I have lost count of the number of I times I have scrubbed toothpaste of every hard surface in my bathroom. Brittany is the most common culprit, but non of my kids are exempt.

Well 2 weeks ago Brittany went to the dentist. That was a horrible trip by the way. It is going to cost over 800 dollars to get her teeth fixed after insurance and a discount.... I think she got my mom's teeth :( Thanks Mom....
Sorry back to the story, so of course they gave her a new toothbrush and a small tube of toothpaste. Last week Kaitlyn decided she would use some of Brittany's small tube of toothpaste. I wished she hadn't made that decision. Next thing I know Brittany is screaming at the top of her lungs for over 5 minutes. Grandpa (Kevin's dad was here) said he would buy her a new toothpaste if she would stop crying. She stopped crying, and the next day Grandma brought her a new toothpaste.
Well, Kaitlyn got all upset that Brittany had a new toothpaste and she didn't (oh the drama of girls). Luckily I usually have a new toothpaste waiting for when we run out. Well tonight Alyssa ran out of her "baby" toothpaste and was ready to use "big girl" tooth paste. I made the mistake of using Kaitlyn's toothpaste. It was horrible. She began screaming, throwing things, and freaking out. After about  minutes she decided it would only be fair if she could use Brittany's toothpaste. That brings me to mistake number 2. I thought ok that sounds fair..... Wanna guess what happened?? Yes Brittany started screaming for about  minutes. I couldn't believe it. My kids are getting so mad over toothpaste.

After about 15-20 min we were finally past the toothpaste incident..... Wow Heaven Forbid my girls have to share anything with each other.... I might start to think they love each other.
Boy am I in trouble when they are teenagers!

  1. Oh I can relate! The tooth fairy used to give Lettie her own toothpaste. Ya, didn't work. "Everette's using my toothpaste!!!"

And, yes, we've also had toothpaste everywhere, compliments of numerous culprits.

Also, my younger children are fond of eating it!
    (sigh)
